A new video Dan did with Le Cargo while in Paris. This time it’s Nothing Shines, a song that the band has made available for free here. It would have been overlooked that day had it not been for the insistence of their friend, Fanny.
Dan from Duchess Leo was visiting Paris in October and did a few videos with Le Cargo. He’s joined here for With Love by the enchanted choir of Maylis, Marielle and Fanny. Duchess Leo are currently recording and will be releasing new material in 2012.
C’est magnifique!

Duchess Leo’s These For Those: Volume 2 will be available for free download this Tuesday, December 6th! It will feature five new songs including an in-studio version of Bloom from the band’s recently released record “Golden Gray”. The band had this to say about the project:
These For Those is a collection of songs recorded between the release of our first EP and Golden Gray. Presented here are the tunes we discovered our sound with, in many cases by discovering what our sound wasn’t. Each has a long history. Stylistically, these songs will likely not be repeated soon. Some of them predate the band. They were recorded using SM57s, iPhones and whatever else was available. They are time capsules. They are old home videos. They are first songs. They are free now.

Duchess Leo and Whale Heart proudly present These For Those: Volume 1, the first of a free two-EP set.

Duchess Leo:
Andy & Zeus asked if we would remix their tune, MCMLXXXI Choir. We said “Duh, of course we would” because it’s beautiful. Then we jacked it up and found a few moments you can tap your foot to. We’re playing a show together at Bruar Falls in April where we’ll be shagging for the spring time and honoring the good old days. Click below to discover Andy & Zeus!
