Today we added The Station Myth to our roster of bands and anyone familar with the short history of Whale Heart will understand that instantly. For those who don’t here’s the short story…

The Station Myth started in 2004 when my old friend Daniel Fickle moved back to New York and asked if I wanted to start a band with songs he’d been writing. We found kindred spirits in Daniel Whitt and Daniel Ryan as well as a common first name between us all and in 2006 released an album, did a short US tour and began work on a follow-up EP.

However our progress was stunted when our lives took us in different directions and half the band moved away. Dan Ryan and I stayed here and formed Pacific Theater and the EP was never completed. Now years later we’ve decided to finish what we started and plan to release the EP this fall on Whale Heart Records.

While The Station Myth probably won’t tour again, we hope to keep releasing music over the years. And Whale Heart is happy to be able to release it!
